Our 7 hectare property is separated by Malcolms Road - to the right is Mescal's set on 4.25 hectares of natural bush land and landscaped gardens and to the left - our production nursery. Guests are welcome to visit the nursery and Rod is always pleased to give a tour around and offer plant and landscaping advice. Predominantly, our gardens have been planted with stock grown by us and are an on-going project and a great source of pleasure and enjoyment for all, including a large variety of wildlife.

Bookings and Policies

*	Mescal's is a child free haven catering for maximum 6 adults.
*	A deposit of one nights accommodation or 50% (whichever is the greater) is required to confirm your booking, with balance payable on arrival.
*	Payment accepted by cash, direct deposit, Bankcard, Mastercard or Visa
*	In the case of cancellation, full refund less $30 administration fee, if notified 30 days prior to arrival. If notification is less than 30 days, refund will only be made if we are able to rebook the suite.
*	Full accommodation costs will be charged on bookings cancelled less than 72 hours before due arrival - including any ordered meals.
*	All tariffs are in Australian Dollars (incl GST) and are subject to change without notice.
*	Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months and are not refundable.
*	Check in time is from 2pm and Check out time is 10am (flexible by arrangement).
*	Guests are requested not to smoke inside.
*	Pets are to be placed in the special accommodation provided and to be on leads at all other times. Pets are not permitted inside the house.
*	Note: It is not possible to accommodate pets at all times.
*	Damage or excessive soiling of suites will be charged to guest credit card details.
*	Payment of a deposit is acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms and conditions

Pets Policy

As we have an abundance of native birds and wildlife, it is preferred if your pet is kept in the special accommodation area provided during your stay and they are under your control at all other times. Owners are required to 'clean up' after their pet and dispose wrapped waste in the outside bin provided. Additional comfort and safety of your pet will be discussed with you when booking.

Remember when packing to bring your pets bedding, food bowls etc which will help to make them feel at home.

Please note we may not necessarily be able to accept pets during holiday periods or at some other times of the year. Most pets are uncomfortable out of their usual surroundings and other guests generally prefer to enjoy the peace and tranquility, which can be found at Mescal's. The exception may be if you wish to take two or more suites and the third is not yet booked or you are travelling through the area and require a single night stopover.

Take some time to explore the magic of the Manning Valley

Nearby you will discover unspoilt beaches at Old Bar, Wallabi Point and Saltwater where you can take a quiet stroll along the beach, go for a surf, swim, do a bit of whale spotting or enjoy a cappuccino at a local café. There are 40km of magnificent beaches in the Manning Valley area.

The Manning River has 150 kilometres of waterways to explore. Bring your own boat, hire a dinghy, go on a cruise, go fishing or just enjoy a relaxing riverside picnic.

Also nearby are forest trails, parks and nature reserves or you may prefer to take a leisurely drive in the country and experience the beautiful and diverse range of scenery and one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the southern hemisphere.

There are many local markets, wineries, craft shops, Antiques and Art Galleries to visit in the region and a wonderful range of cafés and tea houses which offer great Devonshire Teas, specialty coffees, or delicious lunches and light meals.

For those who enjoy a round of golf or a game of bowls, there are many venues to choose from all within easy reach.

Taree is the major commercial and cultural centre of the Manning Valley and only a five minute drive away. Taree offers excellent shopping venues and has many cafés, takeaways and restaurants to choose from if you wish to dine out during your stay. For those who enjoy seafood, our local produce is excellent!

Mescal has plenty of maps and local brochures to help plan your days outing.

Pets

We are happy to have your 'outside dog, cat or bird' accompany you to Mescal's. We have specially built to accommodate your pet, two adjacent runs with kennels. Your accommodation tariff includes your pets.

There are two beaches close by where your dog can run - at Wallabi Point and Old Bar. Dogs are permitted unleashed on beaches after 7pm and before 8am, other than prohibited areas, and on a leash between 8am and 7pm. Prohibited areas are designated by signage.

Please note we may not be able to accept pets at all times.

Disabled facilities

Mescal's was specifically designed and built to be wheelchair and disabled friendly. With no steps, level undercover access from carport, wider hallway, double doorways or cavity sliding doors throughout and a large lounge/dining area, Mescal's is easy to maneuver about.

The spacious Magnolia bedroom suite has both internal and external accesses.The ensuite bathroom is extremely user friendly with hobless shower, WC adjacent, shower and grab rails surround, pedestal vanity and bath (no grab rails). The carpet in the bedroom has been double glued for easier wheelchair movement and all electrical switches lowered throughout. There are two super comfortable king single beds for those travelling with their partner, friend or carer.

The Executive Spa Suite is also disabled friendly. The ensuite has a double shower with grab rails. The WC is located opposite and has a grab rail adjacent with a pedestal vanity completing the layout. The suitability of staying in this suite is dependant on guests level of disability and/or maneuverability.

An adjustable shower chair is available for guests' use.

Late afternoon, the platform over the large dam is where the Silver and Golden perch come to feed. Our resident long necked turtles play hide and seek amongst the water lillies and have to vie for their share of bread when the fish are hungry and quite acrobatic.

The Black Ducks, Chestnut Teals, & Wood Ducks frequent our dams daily, numbers varying with the season. It is a delight to watch their families grow, but alas some ducklings are only temporary Australians.

Our resident wallabies are generally seen early morning and late afternoon, however it is not unusual to come across them at any time when strolling around the property. The joeys are always a pleasure to watch when they are growing up and don't venture too far as adults.

A game of mini golf is a leisurely way to spend the afternoon also with the 19th hole never too far away. Alternatively, you may enjoy a sedentary game of Boules somewhere within the garden.
